Updated October 23, 2026. Operated by Shef. Public site: omifeed.com.
Omifeed is a topic-based reader operated by Shef at omifeed.com. It shows public posts from networks you choose and links you back to those posts. It does not scrape accounts, and it does not post, reply, or message on your behalf.
An Omifeed account stores:
- Your email, display name, and a bcrypt password hash.
- Topics, keywords, source choices, saved filters, layout settings, and custom themes.
- Connected accounts: the network, the handle or username, and a label. OAuth tokens are encrypted on the server with AES-256-GCM and are not sent to the browser. Disconnecting a network deletes that token. Where the network documents a revoke call, Omifeed asks the network to revoke it too.
- In-app chat messages you send to other Omifeed accounts.
- A short feed cache, about ten minutes, of public post text, links, authors, and media URLs so a column can render. The cache is not your private account data and it expires on its own.
This browser keeps theme and layout preferences in localStorage on your device. Those values are not a copy of your tokens.
Omifeed does not sell personal data and does not use connected-account data for advertising. Tokens are sent only to the official API of the network you connected. If an AI key is configured on the server, a recap can send story titles to that provider. With no AI key, that does not happen.
To disconnect a network, open Following and choose Disconnect on that card, or Remove on a public username. To delete the Omifeed account, open Settings and choose Delete account. That removes the user, topics, settings, filters, themes, connected accounts, encrypted tokens, and chat messages you sent. A shared feed-cache row expires on its own.
